Marcos says DOJ evaluating EJK evidence vs Duterte

Take it from President Marcos himself: Malacañang and the Justice department are closely monitoring the congressional probes into the drug war to determine whether ex-president Rodrigo Duterte could be held liable for extrajudicial killings.

The verdict is in on the House's confrontation with Duterte: The chamber "handled it better because they did not simply kowtow" to the ex-president, said UP political science professor Jean Encinas-Franco, an assessment shared by others.

Another day, another typhoon — two, in fact: Super Typhoon "Ofel" lashed Cagayan on Thursday with torrential rains and howling winds, to be followed by Tropical Storm "Man-yi," which is expected to hit Luzon either Saturday or Sunday.

In a damning report, Human Rights Watch said the forced displacement of Palestinian people in Gaza by Israel has been "widespread, systematic... and part of state policy," acts that "constitute crimes against humanity."

With the Christmas holidays coming up, today's Lifestyle presents gift ideas that "tickle the senses." Keep these options in mind "when you head out to the stores or, as many of us are now inclined, when shopping online from the comfort of your own home."
