Please join us virtually on Monday, December 2, at 1 p.m. ET for the half-day symposium "Exploring the Impact of Whole Person Health," to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). The symposium will feature a Stephen E. Straus Distinguished Lecture in the Science of Complementary Therapies, "The Economic Impact of Whole Person Health," by Patricia M. Herman, N.D., Ph.D., senior behavioral and social scientist at RAND. Dr. Herman will explore health and health care utilization for a hypothetical patient over a 40-year period and explain how whole person care may lead to improved health and well-being as well as reduced health care spending. The symposium will also include sessions on the potential clinical impact of whole person health and on the challenges and promise of whole person health research. This event is partially supported by the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health with a generous gift from Bernard and Barbro Osher. |
