Hey E, I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate our amazing community. It's incredible how we come together to support and honor each other every day. This email will be the first of many that highlights the people who live and breathe our values. So let me begin by introducing Michael DeGraeve, in his own words. I grew up in Florida. I always knew I wanted to go into the military so that's basically what my high school career was. I did the Army JROTC all four years. I signed up for the Army when I was 17 and went in at 18. I served three years with the 82nd Airborne Division. I did two combat tours with them and got out. I joined the Florida Army National Guard and moved back home. I struggled for many years with alcohol and PTSD even while I was in the National Guard. I ultimately got discharged for being overweight. When I was active duty I scored one of the highest pt scores in basic training. So at this point I was completely off the rails. A lot happened in between that point and now, but what ultimately saved my life was a Youtube video by Tim Kennedy. He basically said the veteran community had turned weak. That we used to be warriors and we need to fix our lives. He said get off the couch and fix it. And that's what I did. The next thing I did was quit drinking. I've been sober now for 8 years. The way Brute Force comes into the equation is my mom bought me an athlete bag seven years ago. Right when I really started to change my life. That bag has basically been with me since the beginning and I still have it to this day. I became an advocate for Brute Force immediately and have stuck with the company through all the changes. And now I get to work with the amazing staff that now runs it. It was a complete full circle pay off. It's the community that Brute Force has built that I am most proud to be a part of. Now I am in Law Enforcement and the versatility of our equipment can literally change the way a department trains for the better, and that means going home at the end of a shift is just a little easier. Because of his powerful story, we invited Michael to officially join the Brute Force sales team. Connect with him on Instagram at Gravy316_actual to learn more about his new role!
