In Today's Masters in Trading: Live As earnings season winds down, we’re starting to see signs of a market in transition. And nowhere is this more apparent than in the buzz surrounding Nvidia’s (NVDA) earnings beat since Wednesday. Regular readers know that I’ve been anticipating a lot of movement around this stock all week. The chip giant easily beat expectations and revised its guidance higher for the rest of the year. But in a market like this, even an impressive earnings beat isn’t a sure bet for a quick rally. In short, the reaction was swift. The stock has seesawed since earnings, falling as much as 6% over the last two days from its August highs. Many brokerages were quick to lower their price targets for the stock as they priced in volatility through the rest of the year. Keep in mind, this news doesn’t change my perspective on Nvidia at all. I’m as bullish as ever on the stock. So why does the market seem to be taking a more cautious tone around a great earnings beat from one of the top tech companies in the world? It’s the broader market’s fluctuations that are causing even blue-chip stocks like Nvidia to dip in the short term. All the issues I’ve been talking about in my daily videos – from stock sell-offs to downbeat market data – are creating headwinds for us. When we see mixed signals like this, it can be hard to tell the floor from the ceiling. However, like I said at the top, we’re witnessing a market in transition. After the Fed’s announcement last week, we’re on the verge of a new economic cycle heading into September. We might see more turbulence from here. But that’s where the opportunities for outsized gains lie — especially with the unusual options strategies we use in my services like Advanced Notice. Join me this morning for Masters in Trading Live at 11 a.m. ET as I take a closer look at what’s happening with Nvidia’s stock and how we should take the market’s reaction as we see this new economic cycle take shape. l’ll break down everything you need to know along with these hot topics: - A Divergence in Airline Stocks Is Taking Shape
