Happy Monday! English is such an...interesting language. There are words that are spelled differently but are pronounced the same. But then you have words like these that are actually pronounced differently depending on where you're from.

Like for me, there are very tiny differences in how I pronounce Mary vs. marry vs. merry. Same with pole vs. poll. But the Jersey girl in me will always say Dawn and Don differently. Those are two very different names, and I won't accept any other opinions. And now as I'm saying them to myself, I sound like I belong on The Sopranos.
