Sen. Bob Menendez's fate is now in the hands of a Manhattan jury

After nine weeks and well over a million words of testimony and lawyer arguments, jurors in Sen. Bob Menendez's corruption trial began deliberations on Friday afternoon.

They will decide whether a sprawling, years-long federal investigation and high-stakes political prosecution is a righteous takedown of a corrupt New Jersey Democrat or a catastrophic and misguided waste of time.
