Some health issues are unique to men. As many as 30 million American men have erectile dysfunction (ED), and benign prostatic hyperplasia is the most common prostate problem for men older than age 50. Other health issues—such as coronary heart disease and lung cancer—are more common in men than women.

Some dietary supplements are marketed specifically for men's health issues. But many have not been shown to be safe or effective. For example, no dietary supplement has been shown to be effective or safe for treating ED. In addition, we post notices from government agencies, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission, to help inform consumers about recalls, tainted products, and other alerts/advisories.
