Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Oregon's Basic Health Program (BHP) Blueprint. This approval is the first in a series of steps which allow Oregon to establish a BHP, with coverage beginning July 1, 2024. Through the BHP, Oregon will be able to provide healthcare coverage to individuals with income 138 – 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Individuals enrolled in the BHP will receive a comprehensive benefit package, including all Essential Health Benefits, and will not be charged premiums or other cost sharing.
