CMS Approves Amendment to Tennessee's TennCare III Medicaid Section 1115 Demonstration

 
 

Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved an amendment to Tennessee's TennCare III Medicaid section 1115 demonstration. This amendment will give the state the authority to, among other initiatives, expand eligibility for parents and caretaker relatives of dependent children up to 100 percent of the federal poverty level and enhance home and community-based services available to individuals with disabilities under the demonstration. This amendment is effective May 17, 2024 through the current demonstration expiration date of December 31, 2030.
