PH inflation in July pegged at 5% 


The monthly readout on overall inflation in the Philippines is largely expected to ease further below 5 percent in July from 5.4 percent in June, in line with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' (BSP) own projections.

PH loses P30B to fiscal perks, but hopes to attract new investments tenfold


The Marcos administration gave up P29.97 billion in potential revenue through tax perks granted through the Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) over the past 13 months, according to the Department of Finance. Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, who is also FIRM chair, told reporters that these incentives were granted to proponents of 25 projects tagged with investment inflows totaling P287.95 billion.
