Police have detained a bank robbery suspect in Utah on charges that he only demanded $1 from employees before staying to wait for the police to arrive. Donald Santacroce, the suspect, is accused of entering a Wells Fargo Bank in Salt Lake City early on Monday and handing the bank tellers a note that read, "Please pardon me for doing this, but this is a robbery. Please give me $1.00. Thank you." The employees complied and asked Santacroce to leave, but he refused. In a strange turn of events, he advised them to contact the police. He then sat down in the bank's lobby and waited for their arrival. According to the arrest affidavit, "Donald made a statement to the victims that they are lucky [he] didn't have a gun because it was taking the police so long to get there." The bank branch manager then ordered the staff into the backroom for their protection and shut the doors. The incident didn't result in any injuries. Santacroce was taken into custody when police arrived. According to Santacroce, he robbed a bank, a federal offense, because he "wanted to get caught and go to federal prison." But why? When Kevin McCarthy announced that he was handing over 40,000 of January 6th footage to Tucker Carlson, we knew there was going to be some serious hysteria. And we weren't wrong. Now that Tucker's started sharing that footage, members of both the right and the left have come out of the woodwork to condemn him. My inbox is a pretty clear indicator that some of you guys aren't exactly thrilled with this latest development either. So, I figured I'd share Tucker's response to his critics. And, I wanted to know where you stand on his latest airing of the footage. Are you for or against Tucker Carlson's Jan. 6 footage segments? Weigh in and let me know what you think. (learn more) |

Wednesday was the first day that the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic held a hearing to discuss the outbreak's beginnings. Representatives zeroed in on an email sent by Dr. Kristian Andersen, a virologist at Scripps Research Institute, to Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, on January 31, 2020. Andersen stated that he and several of his colleagues suspected that the virus was possibly created by humans. Almost immediately, Fauci took action to stifle the lab leak theory in the scientific community. The next day, at least eleven virologists participated in a conference call organized by Fauci and former NIH Director Francis Collins. After that call, those same virologists suddenly abandoned the lab-leak theory that is now supported by most of the government. (read more) | |

Income investors are constantly looking for equities with greater dividend yields, but frequently, these firms might be yield traps susceptible to dividend reduction. But, a stock is not always dangerous because of greater yields. Sometimes yields increase when a sector is underperforming due to the state of the economy. Real estate investment trusts (REITs) have been experiencing this since May 2022, since rising inflation and interest rates have drastically reduced many REITs' share prices from what they were in 2021. Here are four high-yield REITs you can utilize to build a high-income portfolio for covering living costs. Most of their risk has already been vastly discounted. (read more) |

A Texas Zoo reported 20 years ago that an alligator egg was stolen from its facility. The egg, or gator that should have hatched from it shortly after it was stolen, was never seen again…that is until this week. Texas wildlife officials announced recently they finally found the alligator that was stolen as an egg. The gator is now eight feet long and was found near Austin, Texas. A game warden accidentally found the alligator at a home when he was responding to a non-related call. When he asked about the gator in the yard, he was informed that it was being kept as a pet. Here's how wildlife officials found out it was the alligator that hatched from the stolen egg so many years ago. (read more) |
