Howdy !
While Santa Claus may be known for his jolly personality and love of spreading joy and cheer, it turns out he's also a skilled systematic trader.
In fact, Santa's ability to efficiently and effectively deliver presents to children all around the world can be attributed to his use of systematic trading principles.
One key aspect of Santa's systematic trading strategy is his use of data.
Santa is well-known for his "nice list," which he uses to keep track of children's behavior and determine which presents they should receive.
This is similar to how systematic traders use data and algorithms to analyze market trends and make informed trading decisions.
Santa is also a master of risk management.
He knows that delivering presents to every child in the world is a daunting task, and he has developed a robust risk management plan to ensure that every gift is delivered safely and on time.
This includes his use of reindeer, who help him navigate treacherous weather conditions, as well as his use of elves, who help him efficiently produce and package presents.
In addition to data analysis and risk management, Santa is also a strong proponent of automation.
His workshop is filled with advanced technology and automated systems that help him efficiently produce and distribute presents.
This is similar to how traders can use automated trading systems to execute trades and manage their portfolios more efficiently.
Overall, it's clear that Santa is a skilled systematic trader who has mastered the principles of data analysis, risk management, and automation.
So, if you're looking for inspiration for your own trading strategy, look no further than the man in red!
I didn't write this story.
This is Part 2 in my series on ChatGPT (last time I had it write a song about systematic trading...and it was pretty good).
I simply told ChatGPT to write a story about Santa being a systematic trader.
I'm impressed at how it's able to discover relationships between different topics, and write a compelling story.
It's also helping my team fix bugs in computer code.
In the near future, I could see how this technology will turn into an AI assistant.
Instead of doing Google searches with website results, you'll get a direct answer to your question.
Unfortunately, I'm already seeing ChatGPT's "woke" bias.
I first noticed this when I used some language it didn't like and it scolded me.
The second clue is that it's terrible at writing jokes.
It's also quite certain that global warming is real and caused by humans when I asked it.
When I look at climate data, I see cherry picking, data manipulation, and outright "caught 'em red-handed" fraud (Climategate).
There's an old joke that one day the government would tax the very air we breathe.
Well, here we are.
ChatGPT is also fully onboard the pseudoscience of the gender spectrum.
But when asked about JFK, it was less certain that he was assassinated by Oswald (all roads lead to Dimona if you want to know the truth).
When we make trading strategies with The Boss SuperAI, we have to put it in what's called a sandbox.
That's where you clearly define what it is you want from a strategy: CAGR, max drawdown, average gain per trade, length of a trade, profit factor, number of trades per line of code, etc.
If you don't clearly define your sandbox, then the AI will do unexpected things like make only one trade because you told it you wanted 100% winners.
As far as I can tell, we are in a carefully choreographed information sandbox in order to manipulate how we perceive the world.
Otherwise we wouldn't go along with the endless wars and schemes.
As we now know from Twitter Files #8, the government and social media (all media really) are in bed together.
"Give us a lucrative government contract, and we'll bend over backwards to censor whoever you want."
ChatGPT will be yet another sandbox to manipulate and control us.
You've been warned.
On a positive note, I think George Gilder is correct in that power will move away from monopolies like Google, and towards decentralization and the blockchain.
The Internet is too "leaky" and the truth is slowly getting out. Trust in these companies will be near zero.
You can't hide things like insurance actuary death numbers, disability spikes, and plummeting birth rate numbers forever.
Truth is like sunlight to the vampires that are currently running the show.
