Submit applications by Thursday, December 1st!

A new solicitation through the Point-of-Care Technologies Research Network (POCTRN) will accelerate development of technologies to measure HIV viral load at point-of-care locations. Projects through the Advanced Platforms for HIV Viral Load Testing at the Point of Care program will address specific unmet national and global needs.

Despite advancements in treatment and prevention, HIV remains one of the world's most serious public health challenges. Monitoring of viral load plays a critical role in detecting treatment failure and transmission risk. Improved tools for monitoring at the point of care are needed to assess response to treatment. Making robust, cost-effective, highly sensitive and specific tools widely available in communities has the potential to dramatically improve care, retention, and clinical outcomes for people living with HIV.

Submissions to this solicitation may be submitted starting on November 3 through December 1, 2022. Awards may be up to $500,000 in total costs per year.

More information and how to apply can be found on the solicitation portal
