The makers of the famous Texas Pete hot sauce brand are facing quite the odd lawsuit for their product. And it's because the hot sauce is not from Texas. Philip White, from Los Angeles, filed the lawsuit against the brand recently because he believes the product uses false advertising tactics. White says he was led to believe the product was from Texas, thanks to the name of the hot sauce and the labeling. The bottle utilizes a cowboy and a star that is similar to the one on the Texas state flag. But the product was actually founded in Winston Salem, North Carolina and is still made there to this day. White claims there is nothing "Texas" about the hot sauce and highlights the fact that it doesn't even utilize ingredients from Texas. Here's what else the bizarre lawsuit claims and what White wants in return. (read more) |

Tennessee mother of two, Kirstie Bennard, suffered critical physical injuries after her two family dogs attacked her baby and toddler on Thursday. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office says the attack occurred outside of the family's home. The children, 5-month-old Hollace Dean, and 2-year-old Lilly Jane, did not survive the attack. Bennard tried to intervene. "She put her body on top of Lilly's to try and protect her after the attack started," Bennard's uncle by marriage, Jeff Gibson, revealed. The mauling lasted for about 10 minutes and Bennard was taken to the hospital where she received an "uncountable amount of stitches" due to all the bite marks on her body and face. The dogs had lived with the family for more than eight years without any violent incidents. Here's what the family is revealing about the tragedy. (read more) |
