The current market climate has compelled investors to turn away from growth equities in favor of dividend-paying companies like The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, Inc., and The Procter & Gamble Company. Investors are concerned about the contracting economy since the Federal Reserve will likely boost interest rates further. As a result, a recession is likely to occur within the next 12 months, according to 55% of CNBC's Feds Survey respondents, up 20 points from May's results. Investors also think a recession has already been included in stock market prices because GDP projections have been lowered every quarter this year. Analysts are highlighting the importance of dividend stocks now more than ever. Joshua Dobson stole a car and then topped off the gas tank at a station without paying. He somehow managed to elude police during the entire ordeal. That is until cops caught back up with him in July. While searching a home for an unrelated reason, law enforcement officials stumbled upon a giant teddy bear in one of the rooms. Normally, one wouldn't think much of finding a stuffed animal of that size in a home, but cops became a little suspicious when they noticed the bear was breathing. As it turns out, Dobson was hiding inside the teddy bear in hopes that he would evade cops once again. He was quickly taken into custody. This is the sentence Dobson received for his crimes, and this is the hilarious statement the law enforcement agency had to say about the entire situation. (read more) |
