| Nickie Murtagh describes her love of tanning as an addiction, and it's one that nearly took her life. According to Murtagh, she started tanning regularly in her 20s, and would often hit the tanning bed at least twice per week. But in 2016, Murtagh realized something was off when she developed a spot on her head that just wouldn't heal. She went to the doctor, and it was just dismissed as a cyst. Pretty soon, the lump began to grow larger and cause more issues.
