Upcoming NIH Events Reducing Stigma Around Alcohol Use Disorder in Minority Communities March 21, 2022 | 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET | NIH Videocast In this webinar hosted by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Dr. Christina S. Lee, Associate Professor of Social Work at Boston University, and Dr. Tamika C.B. Zapolski, Associate Professor of Psychology at Indiana University-Purdue University, will discuss their research examining stigma related to alcohol and drug use in Latino and African American communities, respectively. This event is the premier conference of demographers and social and health scientists from the United States and abroad. Here demographers at all career stages are afforded the opportunity to present their research in oral and poster sessions, hear others' findings, and network with their peers. Recent Events How Pediatric Clinical Research Can Promote Health Equity February 17, 2022 | Online NIMHD director Dr. Eliseo J. PĂ©rez-Stable and other leaders from the NIH and The Children's Inn at NIH participated in a conversation about health equity in pediatric clinical research.
