AHRQ Effective Health Care

Opportunity to Comment on Draft Report

We encourage the public to participate in the development of our research projects. Comments can be submitted for:

Pharmacologic and Nonpharmacologic Treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: An Update of the PTSD Repository Evidence Base
(Available for comment until March 1, 2022)

The purpose of this report is to identify newly-published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) examining treatment for Pharmacologic and Nonpharmacologic Treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and comorbid PTSD/Substance Use Disorder. These new studies will update the previous AHRQ report and inform an update report and, subsequently, an expansion of the PTSD-Repository – a publicly-available PTSD study database maintained by the National Center for PTSD (NCPTSD).

About us: AHRQ's Effective Health Care Program is committed to providing the best available evidence on the outcomes, benefits and harms, and appropriateness of drugs, devices, and health care services and by helping health care professionals, patients, policymakers, and health care systems make informed health care decisions. The program partners with research centers, academic institutions, health professional societies, consumer organizations, and other stakeholders to conduct research, evidence synthesis, evidence translation, dissemination, and implementation of research findings.
