A new wave of start-ups is harnessing booming interest in tennis by blending the energy of its increasingly inclusive present with the allure of its exclusive past. Foot Locker is acquiring two smaller shoe store chains for $1.1 billion as part of a post-pandemic growth push. Isabelle Guichot has been named chief executive of the Paris-based contemporary fashion group SMCP, as Daniel Lalonde is leaving to join Design Holding. In the latest sign of a return to physical events, The CFDA Fashion Awards will return on November 10.
