The House approved President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion pandemic rescue plan in a 219-212 vote, sending the measure on to the Senate as Democrats work to pass it into law before boosted unemployment payments expire next month.
All but two Democrats supported the sprawling coronavirus relief package, while zero Republicans crossed the aisle to also back it.
The Senate will take up the measure next week, where Democrats will need to quickly decide how to move forward on a federal minimum wage hike — a policy that has run afoul of arcane budget rules in that chamber that are critical to passing the bill with a simple majority.
