EVA scheme goes live


The Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation scheme has reopened. The EVA accreditation scheme was developed by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) and first launched in May 2019. It recognises dealers' expertise in the electric vehicle sector and promotes industry standards by encouraging dealerships to develop EV selling and servicing ability. Renault announces new EV sales


Renault Trucks has sold its first two 100% electric medium duty vehicles. The trucks have been sold to UK bakery Warburtons, and SUEZ recycling and recovery UK (SUEZ). Waymo launches driverless ride-hailing service


Members of the public in Phoenx, America can now hail an autonomous vehicle which doesn't have a back-up driver behind the wheel. The fully autonomous service is being introduced for a trial period by Waymo, which is the driverless vehicle unit of Google parent company Alphabet. Marginal growth for consumer finance market


The consumer finance market grew again in August compared to the same month in 2019, rising one per cent in volume and eight per cent in value.
