The Economy is Ok (We Promise!) Yesterday, the PCE came in lower than expected, theoretically a great sign that justifies the Fed’s decision to cut rates last month and even, potentially, paves the way for more cuts in November. I think it IS a good sign… but remember that there are vested interests in spinning the narrative that the economy is in great shape, especially in the buildup to the election.
