Workforce Diversity and Health Disparities Research Opportunities

U.S. Department of Health & Human Services  /  National Institutes of Health The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) is now participating in RFA-AA-24-006, Model Continuums of Care Initiative (MCCI) to Advance Health Equity and End Health Disparities Among Women and Girls in Racial/Ethnic Minority and Other Underserved Communities (U24 Clinical Trials Required). The next application due date is October 18, 2024. To find out about NCCIH's areas of research interest, read NOT-AT-24-043.  An informational webinar will be held on Friday, July 26, at 1 p.m. ET for potential applicants for PAR-23-144, "STrengthening Research Opportunities for NIH Grants (STRONG): Structured Institutional Needs Assessment and Action Plan Development for Resource Limited Institutions (RLIs)." Find out more and join the webinar here.   The next due date for new applications to the Research With Activities Related to Diversity (ReWARD) program is October 5. This program supports the health-related research of scientists who are making a significant contribution to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and who have no current National Institutes of Health (NIH) research project grant funding. NCCIH is participating in this program.   You can register now for the seminar "Diverse Voices: Nutrition and Health Disparities," to be held by the Office of Research on Women's Health on Thursday, July 25 from 3 to 4 p.m. ET.  The NIH UNITE initiative has published its 2023–2024 Progress Report. The report describes UNITE's progress in promoting equity in the NIH workforce and in NIH-supported research, as well as steps taken to elevate health disparities research across NIH Institutes and Centers.  View NCCIH Resources
