The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) has a funding opportunity for T32 supplements to promote diversity in health research (NOT-AT-24-034). This year's application due dates are June 3 and November 1. Before applying, applicant institutions should contact their NCCIH program officers to confirm their eligibility to apply for this supplement program. August 5 is the due date for PAR-24-053, "Multi-sectoral Preventive Interventions That Address Social Determinants of Health in Populations That Experience Health Disparities (UG3/UH3, Clinical Trial Required)." The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases will hold a workshop, "Understanding the Biological Mechanisms Underlying the Health Consequences of Racism, Marginalization, and Discrimination," on April 17 and 18 in Dulles, Virginia. Register by April 16 to attend in person or virtually. Dr. Debra Moser of the University of Kentucky will present the lecture "Cardiovascular Disease Disparities in Rural America: Can This House of Cards Be Saved?" on Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m. ET. This event, sponsored by the NIH Office of Intramural Research, will be livestreamed on NIH VideoCast.
