  • A new funding opportunity, RFA-NR-24-004, will support exceptionally innovative, transformative research projects to address health disparities and advance health equity. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) is participating. Read the notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) to find out about our areas of interest.   • The Multi-Sectoral Preventive Interventions Research Network is hosting a preapplication webinar on Friday, February 9, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET for two NOFOs related to interventions that address social determinants of health in populations that experience health disparities, PAR-24-053 and RFA-OD-24-006. Register now to attend the webinar.
  • NCCIH is participating in two current NOFOs from the Intervention Research to Improve Native American Health (IRINAH) initiative, one for exploratory/developmental research (R21) (PAR-23-299) and one for pilot or feasibility research (R34) (PAR-23-285). The next due date for applications is October 21, 2024.
  • The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity will hold a seminar, "How Does Diversity Impact Innovation in Team Science?" on March 13, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, ET.
  • The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities will hold its annual Health Disparities Research Institute on August 5–9, 2024, at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus in Bethesda, Maryland. This educational program supports the career development of promising early-career minority health and health disparities research scientists. Applications are due by March 11, 2024, and will only be accepted from individuals who meet NIH's early-stage investigator eligibility criteria.
