๐Ÿ˜Ž The “No Landing” Scenario Has Arrived

Good morning. Last week's GDP data looks like good news on its surface. The economy is growing...
It's the monthly jobs numbers today and they're not going to be pretty and will be possibly the tip of the iceberg as we head into May.

Good morning. Last week's GDP data looks like good news on its surface. The economy is growing at a 3.6 percent annualized rate in the final quarter of 2023. Adding in 2023's sharp decline in inflation, and the strong job market, it's easy to see why a new economic scenario is emerging.

Rather than the "hard landing" of a crash or the "soft landing" of a light recession, the economy may continue to chug along even with interest rates near their highest levels in 15 years. This "no landing" scenario indicates that the economy is structurally strong, and that high employment and moderate inflation could last for years.

For this scenario, as for most scenarios, it will pay to be invested in the stock market. Growth stocks should likely outperform, and as we continue in this bull market, investors may start to bid up small-cap stocks at a faster pace.

Now here's the rest of the news:

These services tend to have a high profit margin once set up and running. And they create a recurring revenue stream compared to one-off sales. That kind of business model is seeing an expansion thanks to its success.
