MANILA, Philippines – The allotment next year for the Department of Health (DOH), an agency that used to be front and center in the government's budgeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has been slashed by some P10 billion, House Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto said on Sunday.

ACT to DepEd: Remove extra tasks instead of visual aids


MANILA, Philippines — Instead of getting rid of decorations in classrooms, the Department of Education (DepEd) should remove the excessive tasks given to educators without proper compensation, the Alliance of Concerned Teachers-National Capital Region (ACT-NCR) union, said in a statement on Saturday.

The road illuminated by his bravery and sacrifice did not lead the Philippines to its current state where the gains of the post-Edsa years seem to have evaporated into thin air. We undid those gains ourselves. This is the very same gift that Filipinos of all walks of life and all political persuasions can continue using to move the country forward and shape it into whatever form we desire.
