The Russian military admitted that a bomb delivered by one of its jets inadvertently created a strong blast in a Russian city close to the Ukrainian border that injured two people and alarmed locals. During Russia's ongoing military action in Ukraine, drone attacks have been frequent in Belgorod, a city of 340,000 people situated roughly 25 miles east of the Russia-Ukraine border. Russian authorities blamed the earlier strikes on the Ukrainian military, which refrained from directly claiming responsibility for the attacks. The explosion late Thursday was far more powerful than anything Belgorod residents had experienced before. However, around an hour after the catastrophe, the Russian Defense Ministry admitted that one of its own Su-34 planes unintentionally dropped a missile that was the source of the blast. Senator Ted Cruz is going on record to support conservative Alex Mooney in the West Virginia Senate race. Cruz is the second Republican Senator to throw his support behind Mooney, with the other being Senator Rand Paul. "Alex is a friend, he's a fighter and a strong conservative who will ferociously defend the Second Amendment, be a champion for American energy, prioritize bringing jobs to West Virginia, and faithfully and aggressively represent the values of the Mountain State in the Senate," Cruz said about Mooney in a statement to Fox News.
This is the latest step in the GOP's mission to unseat Democrat Joe Manchin. And while Mooney is the only major conservative candidate currently in the race, other Republicans are withholding their support of Mooney in hopes that West Virginia Governor Jim Justice will make a run for Senate.

The Biden campaign and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are linked to efforts to downplay the contents of the laptop in the days before the 2020 presidential election, according to an investigation by two House committees into a letter that labeled the emerging contents of Hunter Biden's laptop computer Russian disinformation. Blinken was a consultant for Democratic presidential candidate Job Biden's campaign. The House Judiciary Committee said in a press release on Thursday that the publication of Hunter Biden's emails, "cast doubt on President Biden's previous denials of speaking to his son about his international business dealings." A Yukon gold miner was trying to strike it rich when they stumbled upon a rather odd discovery. Instead of unearthing gold, they found a mysterious ball of fur. Initially, the odd find was unidentifiable. It was described as the size of a grapefruit and brown in color. The fur was in remarkable condition and was preserved very well. The miner found the ball of fur in the Klondike gold fields near Dawson City, Yukon. Instead of tossing the mystery find, the miner decided to take it somewhere for inspection and identification. Upon further review, it was determined the ball of fur was actually this, and is remarkably about 30,000-years-old. (read more) |

Twenty-four-year-old Robert Louis Singletary of North Carolina was arrested in Florida following a manhunt after he shot a 6-year-old girl and her parents for trying to retrieve a basketball out of his yard. According to Gaston County, Singletary turned himself in in Tampa, FL. He has been charged with four counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
