New NIH Study Reveals Shared Genetic Markers Underlying Substance Use Disorders

Data from over 1 million people reveals shared genetic markers across substance use disorders, a new study co-funded by the National Institute of Mental Health finds. The genomic pattern also predicts a higher risk of mental disorders, stressing the importance of thinking about these disorders together.
