Anticipation grows as visitors arrive at DRC temple site for Saturday's dedication of first-ever national Bahá'í House of Worship.
Anticipation builds on eve of dedication | KINSHASA, Democratic Republic of the Congo — Anticipation for Saturday morning's opening of the national House of Worship is building. Over 2,000 guests from across the country are expected for the dedication ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. local time, 9:00 a.m. GMT. The inauguration of the temple will mark a historic milestone—the first ever national House of Worship to be dedicated in the Bahá'í world. Over the past week, growing numbers of people have been arriving at the site of the temple—some travelling for as much as 10-days—to assist with preparations. Vanessa Masengu, who is among those arriving early for tomorrow's program, says: "Whatever your tribe, religion, or background we will all be here together. This will show everyone, especially the youth of our society, that we are united, because here there are no barriers." She adds: "This temple is open to us all."
