Terry Sanderson is a retired optometrist. He also happens to be the man currently claiming that actress Gwyneth Paltrow crashed into him while skiing in Utah, leaving Sanderson badly injured. However, now the case is starting to heat up, as both sides vehemently deny they were at fault for the injuries. On Tuesday, an expert witness (a biomechanical engineer) went as far as to say that the testimony against Paltrow defies the laws of physics. What is being claimed, and why are those claims virtually impossible? (read more)

California is moving forward with plans to grant Black residents reparations. That's despite now learning that the estimated cost for the initiative could meet (or exceed) $800 billion. To put things into perspective, that's three times the state's existing budget. And that doesn't even include all of the compensation that is being called for.
How in the world do proponents plan to pay for it all?

During a Tuesday visit to a semiconductor plant in North Carolina, a Biden aide was caught on a hot mic having to give very direct verbal instructions as to where the president was supposed to stand. This is just the latest viral cringe moment involving wrangling an errant, confused president. This might not warrant much attention under normal conditions. But these aren't normal circumstances. Of course, the fact that this is Joe Biden is a big deal. He appears befuddled now, and he has often been befuddled in the past. We must finally acknowledge the problem that is Biden's diminished mental capacity. (read more)

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has consistently beaten the S&P 500 over a long period, but not because it has been unduly aggressive or focused on the newest growth stock. Instead, his approach has been considerably simpler: essentially, he looks for high-quality companies with sound financial positions and promising futures. There is also one more component. Although Berkshire has many equities, a small number of investments make up the majority of the portfolio. Buffett stated, "It merely takes a few winners to work miracles" in his most recent letter to shareholders. Investors should heed this advice and follow it: load up on the equities they care about while holding a lesser position in others for diversification's sake. Here are two stocks that investors should consider as potential pillars to build their portfolios around. (read more) |

Police responding to a break in received quite the surprise when they arrived on scene and the suspect hid inside the home and refused to leave. According to authorities, the man, who was identified as Bruce Davis, broke into a home in North Fort Myers. Deputies were told that an unknown man walked into the home, but he was never seen leaving the house. Once inside the home, deputies heard footsteps in the attic. Deputies demanded several times for the suspect to come down from the attic, but he refused. They eventually used non-lethal gas to try to smoke the suspect from the attic, but that did not work either. Deputies and a K-9 unit eventually entered the attic, and that's when they found the suspect in quite the unique hiding spot. Thankfully, deputies snapped a picture. (read more) |

After 34-year-old Brandon Felton was fatally shot on March 15, police were able to track down the murder suspect by using a pizza receipt. That suspect was a 12-year-old boy from Milwaukee. Felton was shot in the head at his home after he refused to sell the child guns. He was found by his friends two days later. Police were able to track down the suspect after finding a receipt at Felton's home with the suspect's phone number listed on it. They proceeded to call the number and eventually spoke to the suspect and his grandmother. The suspect initially denied going to Felton's home, but told his mother another story. Here's what happened next and what the boy faces now. (read more) |
