[Axios / Mike Allen] For months, the GOP's right flank pressured McCarthy to release the video of Donald Trump supporters storming the Capitol, arguing the insurrection wasn't as bad as it actually was. [The Nation / Joan Walsh] Carlson has repeatedly used his platform to minimize and spread baseless theories about the attack that resulted in five deaths and 140 injured police officers.
