The state of New York implemented the Concealed Carry Improvement Act last year after the Supreme Court struck down the state's previous law. A group of gun retailers operating in the state turned to the Supreme Court to block a slew of these new laws, claiming they not only infringed on Second Amendment rights but also hurt their business. The Supreme Court rejected this bid without any noted dissents or explanations. "We are disappointed that not one of the nine justices saw fit to grant the plaintiffs some stay of enforcement of the new laws against them," Paloma Capanna, the lead attorney for the New York gun retailers, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. Where will they take this fight next? (read more)

Image source: Judicial Watch | While we're busy trying to decide whether it will be Trump or DeSantis in 2024, we might be overlooking an important element of 2024. Phantom voters. Because those phantom voters will decide in 2024, and they probably aren't voting for Trump or DeSantis. According to American Thinker, "Those working deep in swing state voter rolls can tell you with 100% certainty that unless Trump or DeSantis wins with a 5%-to-18% margin in swing states, they will lose every one." Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) claimed that the classified documents crisis involving President Joe Biden is pushed by Democrats who are eager to get rid of the floundering president. In recent months, three batches of classified documents from the Obama administration were discovered on Biden's property: one at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., and two at his Wilmington, Delaware, home.
The Justice Department launched its investigation into Biden after the president's personal attorneys uncovered the first batch of documents at the Penn Biden Center in November, just days before the midterm elections. The news was just made public this month. Gaetz stated that everything is theoretical until the contents of the retrieved documents are exposed. (read more)

Streaming giant Netflix is making headlines for posting a help wanted ad for a flight attendant. The opening is for someone to work on the company's private corporate jet. According to the company's job listing, the flight attendant will be based out of San Jose International airport and will fly on a G550 Super midsized jet. The company is requiring the new flight attendant to be based out of Northern California in order to "embrace the Netflix culture of freedom and responsibility." The bodies of 79-year-old Shelvagean Rhoden and her son, 59-year-old Jimmie Rhoden, were discovered in their remote Ohio home last month – a year and a half after they died. The discovery was made by a teenage boy who was hunting near the residence on December 26. Carroll County Sheriff Calvin Graham revealed that the teenager thought no one was in the home until he looked through the window and saw a deceased person in one of the bedrooms. A welfare check for the residence had been requested in September 2021 after the power to the home was turned off in August. Here's what was found at the time and what the next step in the unusual case will be. (read more) |
