The final January 6 report |
- The House panel investigating January 6 is set to release its final report on how former President Donald Trump and his allies tried to overturn the 2020 election results. [Vox/ Sean Collins]
- It's expected to top 800 pages and draw upon more than 1,000 interviews and will recommend the Justice Department file criminal charges against Trump for trying to prevent President Joe Biden from entering office. [NYT / Luke Broadwater, Maggie Haberman, and Alan Feuer]
- On Wednesday, the panel released 34 transcripts from interviews with witnesses including Republican officials and far-right figures who invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. [Politico / Kyle Cheney and Nicholas Wu]
- Two of the transcripts reveal that a Trump lawyer advised White House aide and key witness Cassidy Hutchinson to "downplay" her testimony to the panel. [CBS News / Melissa Quinn]

- Netanyahu hasn't publicized final agreements, but his Likud party is expected to join with religious and ultranationalist allies with a history of hostility toward Palestinians. [Times of Israel / Carrie Keller-Lynn]
- On Wednesday, the Israeli parliament also passed legislation that grants expanded police power to an openly anti-Arab national security adviser. [Guardian / Ben Lynfield]
