This competitive award supports 1-year innovative research projects by postdoctoral fellows, staff scientists, and staff clinicians within the NIH Intramural Research Program that have a high potential to positively impact minority health and health disparities research. The award honors Dr. Coleman, a distinguished member of the scientific community and former scientific director of NIMHD's Intramural Research Program, who dedicated himself to mentoring and training future scientists in health disparities research.
