I don't know if it's because I'm old or if it's because I'm jaded (or perhaps a little bit of both) but I struggle to get excited when I see headlines that promise some sort of Republican victory. They almost always fizzle out. But, I do still have hope, which is why I'm hoping that these claims by House Republicans turn out to be 100% true and verifiable. We could really use a win. And finding out that Nancy Pelosi was, in fact, the culprit behind the January 6th Capitol security failure wouldn't completely vindicate us, but it would certainly count as a victory. "House Republicans gathered a trove of text and email messages showing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office was directly involved in the creation and editing of the Capitol security plan that failed during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot and that security officials later declared they had been "denied again and again" the resources needed to protect one of the nation's most important homes of democracy." Just how damning are these texts and emails? (read more)

Bloomberg: This fuel is the key to “solving the energy crisis.” It’s time for you to take part in the greatest energy revolution of our lifetime. It’s projected to be 10X bigger than the electric vehicle revolution… Which turned an early $500 investment in Tesla into $207,000. And it will be bigger than the solar power revolution… Which would have turned a $2,500 investment in Enphase Energy into over $1 million. This is the gretaest energy investing opportunity of our lifetimes. And the best part is… According to Bloomberg, President Biden has “almost guaranteed” that investors will have a shot at making a fortune from this brand new type of energy. Because it holds the key to “solving the energy crisis” in America. |

The GOP Establishment and Mitch McConnell put the blame for the midterm election defeats on Donald Trump, but the facts say otherwise. According to McConnell, "candidate quality" was the cause of the 2022 election's lack of a red wave. McConnell omitted to mention how poorly his candidates fared. Except for one, all of his candidates suffered heavier defeats than those of Trump's supporters. (read more)

Christopher Williams, 62, of Philadelphia spent 25 years of his life on death row for six murders. Williams, a father of six, was freed from prison in February 2021. He was originally acquitted in two murder cases while on death row. Williams was then exonerated and cleared of all wrong-doing for the four other murders that landed him on death row. For being falsely imprisoned for 25 years, Williams had a pending lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia. While the state of Pennsylvania does not provide compensation for the wrongfully convicted, the city of Philadelphia has been known to pay out as much as $10 million in settlements for people in the same situation as Williams. But Williams will no longer be able to see his case play out and hope for a settlement. Recently, Williams decided to attend a funeral of a formerly incarcerated man he knew from prison. While he was at the funeral, the unthinkable happened to Williams. (read more) |

A French hospital had to be partially evacuated on Saturday after an elderly man showed up with a World War I artillery shell stuck in his rectum. The 88-year-old man visited Hospital Sainte Musse in Toulon to have the item removed, simultaneously sparking a bomb scare. "An emergency occurred from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday evening that required the intervention of bomb disposal personnel, the evacuation of adult and pediatric emergencies as well as the diversion of incoming emergencies," stated a hospital spokesperson. At the scene, bomb experts eventually determined that there was little chance that the shell would explode, so doctors got to work to remove the 8 inch item. Here's what the hospital has since said regarding the unusual incident and how the man is doing now. (read more) |
