Something that is happening in Hawaii right now hasn't happened since 1984. In a rare occurrence, not one but two volcanoes are currently erupting on the island of Hawaii. One is Mauna Loa, the world's largest active volcano. The other is Kilauea. And they're both erupting on the Big Island. "This is a rare time where we have two eruptions happening simultaneously," Jessica Ferracane, a spokesperson for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, told CBS News. Two Louisiana Democrats were sentenced to a year in prison for their involvement in a vote-buying scam. The two Democrats were bribing potential voters in exchange for their votes in a federal election. Former Amite Police Chief Jerry Trabona and current Councilman Kris Hart are accused of conspiracy to buy votes and many charges of vote buying. With this commodity's peak-to-trough loss of 15.9% over the past eight trading sessions, crude oil futures recently touched an 11-month low. Seven sessions had an oil fall during the time. Investors should nevertheless continue to search for some essential energy equities. Energy stocks continue to show relative strength despite weak commodity price performance. The actual price of oil does not directly correlate with the equities of firms that deal with oil. Even though the stock market as a whole has been recovering, it is still in a bear market. The boyfriend of a woman who didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labor is speaking out about the baffling situation. Baldemar Guerrero took to TikTok to explain that his girlfriend woke up in the middle of the night with major back pain. He brushed it off and went back to sleep. She was convinced something major was wrong, so she got a member of her boyfriend's family to take her to the hospital. That's when her bloodwork indicated she was pregnant. The woman texted her boyfriend with the good news, but he assumed it meant she was only a month or two along. Much to his surprise, the baby arrived a lot sooner than expected. (read more) |

Self-proclaimed "socially awkward" Jeremy Reagan wants to clear the air about the murder of the four University of Idaho students that he lived near. Reagan wants people to know that he has no link to the tragic deaths, despite people on the internet saying he should be considered a suspect. Since the news broke, Reagan has given several TV interviews that put him in the line of fire. "I didn't do it. I have nothing to hide. I'm willing to give DNA, fingerprints, whatever they need," Reagan announced. There have been no arrests made yet, and the murder weapon has not been recovered.
