AHRQ's support for digital healthcare research and the field's growing impact on patient care are highlighted in a new AHRQ Views blog post by Chris Dymek, Ed.D., director of AHRQ's Digital Healthcare Research Program. The program's newly released 2021 annual report, Improving Healthcare Through AHRQ's Digital Healthcare Research, features nearly 50 completed and ongoing projects that speak to digital healthcare technology's growing promise. In 2021, AHRQ's $30 million investments in digital healthcare research supported 104 grants and nine research contracts at 64 institutions. The new report summarizes research in three areas: engaging and empowering patients, optimizing delivery for clinicians, and supporting care systems in advancing care delivery. | | |
