When he isn't busy isolating or redefining what a recession is, President Joe Biden spends a lot of time patting himself on the back for strong jobs numbers. And at face value, the 528,000 jobs that were added to the work force in July look good. Great even, considering they were only anticipating 250,000. But are these numbers really as awesome as they seem? Not at all. Especially not if you're a Black American looking for work right now. Or if you're looking for full-time employment... Take a look at the jobs statistics that were hiding in plain sight and that the White House absolutely doesn't want you to know about. (read more) |

The "Inflation Reduction Act" won't stop inflation, but it will make you more likely to be subject to an IRS audit. Democrats assert that the wealthy upper class would provide the majority of the additional tax income from IRS audits, while a Joint Committee on Taxation research reveals that the audits would severely harm the middle class. Republicans in Congress worry that Democrats' plan to enlarge the IRS is an effort to arm the government agency even more against the middle class. It seems that Democrats are doing everything in their power to destroy the economy. (read more) |

401(k)s can indeed be a great place to start your retirement investing. Indeed, the first investment you should make if you receive a match on your donation is one that will maximize the match. However, after you surpass that match, there are often good reasons to choose a different strategy rather than just contributing additional money to your 401(k). Those reasons include better flexibility, more investment choices, lower overhead costs, and more customizable withdrawal options in retirement. When you look through the lens of your total financial picture, it can start to make sense to look at other accounts before going back to your 401(k) for investments above your match amount. With that in mind, these retirement strategies can run circles around a 401(k) if used correctly. (read more) |

On October 28, 2019, 22-year-old Allyzibeth Lamont went missing. Lamont worked at the Local 9 Deli in Upstate New York and reportedly was always happy and greeted everyone with a smile. Authorities found her body in a shallow grave a few days later on Halloween. It was located 35 miles away from the last place she was seen…the deli. When authorities tried to speak to the manager, they found something odd. "There was actually a sign on the door that said 'Under Renovations.' However it was still open for business," said Gloversville Police Department Det. Sgt. Lucas Nellis. That was when they encountered two other employees in the back…one of them being the girlfriend of the manager. Here's what they discovered and how they were able to put the pieces of the puzzle together. (read more) |
