Doorbell camera video shows the moments an Ohio man shot his daughter's 22-year-old ex-boyfriend as he allegedly attempted to break down the front door. Recently, a grand jury decided not to charge Mitchell Duckro with any offenses concerning the murder of James Rayl. He was shot through the door of Duckro's Sydney, Ohio, residence. Allyson Duckro, Duckro's daughter, had broken up with Rayl more than 18 months earlier. But the young man arrived at her residence at about 11 a.m. after leaving a voicemail on her phone the previous evening. Rayl can be seen on the Ring Doorbell camera footage ringing the doorbell, then taking a step back and waiting for a few minutes. He then walks off before returning and ringing the bell again. Things escalated from there. A Shelby County grand jury was presented with the voicemail, 911 call, and the doorbell camera footage and ultimately decided not to charge Mitchell Duckro. The jury cited Ohio's "Stand Your Ground" and "Castle Doctrine," establishing that homeowners can legally use lethal force when threatened. (read more) |

When the James Webb telescope was first launched into space, it was to find answers. And now that it's out there, it's almost raising more questions than it answers. According to the Washington Post, "JWST-captured imagery has revealed those galaxies to be shockingly massive, not to mention balanced and well-formed — a finding that challenges, and will likely rewrite, long-held understandings about the origins of our universe." What other finds are baffling scientists? (read more) |

To promote his "Safer America Plan" to "reduce gun crime," Joe Biden visited Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. After spending several days in hiding, Biden made a speech at Wilkes University's Marts Center. Speaking errors, lies, and strange tales abounded in Joe Biden's speech. When Joe Biden deviated from the script and shared a story about being the "only white guy" employed as a lifeguard in Delaware, things took a turn for the worse. Biden went on to make some eyebrow-raising comments about crime rates and basketball. For many, the comments sounded a bit racist and full of stereotypes. (read more) |

Fifty-six-year-old Jerry Westrom probably regrets eating a hotdog at his daughter's hockey game after it resulted in a conviction of first-degree premeditated murder and second-degree murder in the death of Jeanne Childs. Westrom killed Childs back in 1993 after stabbing her to death in her apartment. Authorities reveal she was found unclothed while blood was on the walls of her bedroom, living room and bathroom. Westrom maintains he had no involvement with the crime. So, just how exactly did a hotdog lead authorities to find Childs' killer decades after it happened? (read more) |
