Kentucky lawmakers override governor's veto of abortion ban

Despite a veto by the governor of Kentucky, lawmakers were able to rally enough support to effectively veto the veto of the abortion ban. That means that (at least temporarily) Kentucky's only two abortion clinics will have to stop providing the procedures while the new law is challenged in the courts.

Both of the state's abortion clinics are in Louisville, and it's expected that there will be immediate federal lawsuits and attorneys seeking a ruling to block the measure.

The measure takes effect immediately and is just one of several vetos state lawmakers have been able to override.

Here is what we know about the whipped cream bandit

Someone is shoving whipped cream in the faces of unsuspecting victims in South Carolina, police say.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released at this time, has been attacking people in Greenville. He evidently is carrying plates of whipped cream on his person.

Authorities say they have a photo of the man, who attacked several people, including a woman with a small child, yesterday.

We need to have a serious conversation about Biden's mental health

Joe Biden is the oldest person ever to be sworn in as President of the United States. He was older when he was sworn in than Ronald Reagan was when he left office.

Biden has been recognized for his rhetorical gaffes throughout his political career. When it comes from the president of the United States, though, repeated misstatements are far more troubling.

Anyone paying attention can see how the Democrat establishment sheltered him from the public as much as possible throughout his 2020 presidential campaign, and that has mostly continued in the White House.

With the United States and the rest of the planet going through multiple troubles, it's reasonable to question Biden's mental health right now.

Why did this protester try to glue herself to a basketball court during an NBA game?

The Clippers vs. TImberwolves NBA game took an odd turn Tuesday when a spectator ended up on the court unexpectedly. But instead of trying to run around for attention or even streak, she decided to try to glue herself to the court instead.

Alicia Santurio ended up on the court near the baseline under one of the baskets during the game. As play was halted to address the situation, broadcast announcers were puzzled by what was going on. A crowd of security personnel and other officials eventually surrounded Santurio as she sat underneath the basket.

As it turns out, Santurio was in the process of gluing herself to the court. She even left a white handprint on the surface after she was escorted out of the game.

Santurio began trending on Twitter as #GlueGirl after the incident, and she uploaded a video to Twitter laughing about the stunt, but then detailing why she made the decision to glue herself to the court. As it turns out, she was attempting to protest and raise awareness for a certain issue.

Dinosaur footprints (not the ones destroyed)

A section of fragile dinosaur footprints that dated back 112 million years was damaged beyond repair by construction crews

The Mill Canyon Dinosaur Tracksite in Utah was home to a section of fragile dinosaur footprints that dates back 112 million years ago. Discovered in 2009, the roughly 200 fossilized footprints from at least 10 different dinosaur species were among the most studied paleontological sites in the world.

That was until they were damaged beyond repair by a construction crew's heavy machinery. The agency claimed that "areas of avoidance" were not properly marked and that work crews weren't briefed on where they couldn't go.

Patrick Donnelly of the Arizona-based Center for Biological Diversity said, "I'm absolutely outraged that the [Bureau of Land Management] has apparently destroyed one of the world's most important paleontological resources. This careless disregard for these irreplaceable traces of the past is appalling. It really calls into question the Bureau's competence as a land-management agency."

The agency has since responded to the incident in a statement on its website.
