Image source Canva Jacob Greer is learning that even if you're a survivalist, you can run but you can't hide.
When he was just 22, he thought he'd figured out the perfect ruse to avoid an upcoming trial where he faced child pornography charges in the state of Iowa. His solution? Faking his death and fleeing into the wild woods of the Pacific Northwest.
It turns out that he was only half right. Six years later, at the age of 28, Jacob was arrested in Spanaway, Washington. And there had been plenty of close calls along the way.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions about where he did manage to hide out for so long, but he was finally busted by U.S. Marshals on Monday.
How did the arrest happen and what do we know about any possible help he had evading authorities?

Image source: Canva After Will Smith announced his resignation from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences, officials moved up his sanctions hearing.
According to David Rubin, who is the president of the Academy, the meeting will take place tomorrow, instead of April 18.
"I will fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct," the actor had said in a statement. "My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable."

Image source :Canva A Republican-backed subpoena that would have required Hunter Biden to testify before Congress earlier this week was thwarted by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
The Democrats refused the request with little to no cause, according to House Oversight Republicans, and are basically acting as a go-between for the Biden Crime Family, refusing to hold them accountable.
If the request had been approved, Hunter would have been required to testify as an "expert" at an impending Oversight hearing on electrifying all US Postal Service cars, answering questions regarding his lengthy history of energy transactions with China, Russia, and Ukraine.
And you can bet there would have been more questions regarding his business dealings if he had been on oath.

Image source : Canva The United States is on the brink of a retirement crisis. The primary savings tool for Americans, your 401(k), isn't helping.
According to Census Bureau projections, roughly 21% of the country's population will be 65 or older by the end of the decade, up from 15% in 2016. The majority of non-retired persons have some form of retirement savings, yet just 36% believe they are on pace.
Now, Congress is attempting to assist Americans in saving by expanding 401(k) schemes, which are tax-deferred, employer-sponsored retirement accounts into which employees can deposit income and companies can match their contributions.
A new law, anticipated to reach President Joe Biden's desk by the end of the year, might force most employers to automatically enroll their employees in retirement plans.

Image source : Canva More than 16 million homes are sitting vacant in the United States, but one state, in particular, is leading the pack, according to a new study of home vacancies across the United States. The study finds that Florida accounts for nearly 1.7 million of those homes and that their rank among the proportion of home vacancies is also high.
Following the Sunshine State with the highest number of vacant homes are California, Texas, New York, and Michigan. Authors of the study say that high vacancy rates and high home prices suggest that an area could be a vacation spot or one that is targeted by investors.
Home prices are still continuing to rise despite increasing mortgage rates, so we shouldn't expect to see relief in the area for a while. Experts expect that the housing affordability crisis will put a damper on Florida's economy.
