Pfizer and BioNTech asked the Food and Drug Administration Tuesday to authorize a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine regimen for children under 5, despite lackluster immune responses seen in some trial participants that prompted the companies to explore a third shot. The request would cover the only age group in the U.S. that currently can't get vaccinated.
