"It's interesting, though, the reception that some of these folks will get in Florida, because I think a lot of Floridians say, 'Wait a minute, you're bashing us because we're not doing your draconian policies, and yet we're the first place you want to flee to, to basically be able to enjoy life,'" quipped DeSantis.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made news last week after she was seen eating with her boyfriend at a restaurant in Miami. The pair, of course, sat maskless and didn't seem to have a care in the world.
According to DeSantis, a "half-dozen governors" that placed heavy pandemic restrictions on their own state were spotted in Florida over the last few months, enjoying unrestricted vacations, dining, and parties.
While DeSantis wouldn't name names, we do know that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer faced backlash for traveling to Florida literally days after lambasting her citizens for doing the same.
Maybe DeSantis should leak a few more names to show voters how pathetically hypocritical liberal politicians are.
