In fact, "Democrats' political prospects are significantly deteriorating," according to Schoen and colleague pollster Carley Cooperman, and they have the statistics to back it up. Schoen Cooperman Research's recent polls show that the Democratic Party is getting increasingly unpopular and vulnerable to severe losses in 2022. Because they have been so focused on pushing their own agenda, 66% of likely voters say that Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress are out of touch with hardworking Americans, compared to 30% who feel Biden and Democrats are not out of touch. Schoen and Cooperman projected that Democrats would lose in a "landslide" in 2022, based on this data plus statistics showing Republicans are preferred overall on the generic congressional vote.   Democrats have reached the point of no return.
