The Food and Drug Administration has formally authorized a booster dose of Pfizer and BioNTech's Covid-19 vaccine for people 65 and older and those at high risk of severe illness because of underlying health conditions or "frequent institutional or occupational exposure."
The agency said the booster should be given at least six months after initial vaccination.
