The stories that inspired us in 2020

Our most inspiring stories of the year View in browser

Dear Reader,

At the start of 2020 none of us could have imagined that we'd be ending the year in the midst of a global pandemic. A crisis that has taken the lives of over 300,000 in the U.S. and over 750 within our own community.

Nor were we prepared for the social justice movement and contentious elections that would shake our country to its core.

As we reflect on the year, we wanted to offer you a look back at some of the stories that touched our hearts. Stories about faith and hope and loss. Stories about people in our community overcoming adversity and finding innovative ways to face their challenges. Stories that assured us that despite all of the turmoil and uncertainty, that compassion, kindness and love still exist.

We also wanted to take a moment to say thank you to our subscribers and donors. We appreciate you immensely. If you don't subscribe, we hope you will join the thousands of readers that financially support the future of local journalism. We can't do what we do without you.

Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season!
