1115 Waiver Demonstration - TEAMKY formerly KY Health

On December 30, 2023, Kentucky submitted an amendment to the TEAMKY section 1115 demonstration to improve care transitions for certain individuals who are soon-to-be former inmates of a public institution and who are otherwise eligible for Medicaid. Through this amendment, eligible adults and youth housed in state prisons and youth development centers will receive case management services pre and post-release to address physical and behavioral health and health-related social needs; MAT for SUD for up to 60 days pre-release; and a 30-day supply of all clinically required prescription medications. Also, eligible adults in state prisons and eligible adults participating in the BHCDP will receive Recovery Residence Support Services for up to 90 days post-release. The federal public comment period will be open from January 12, 2024 through February 11, 2024.
