Hi, Earlier this month, we received this note from a supporter along with their contribution: I hate the paywall business model, but I also know journalism, especially investigative, is expensive. I think the world works better when those who can afford things pay their share and those who can't pay or can't pay as much still have access to the same service. We get a lot of supporter stories, but this one really stuck with us because of how exactly it hit the nail on the head: Journalism is expensive, but access to it shouldn't be. We're so grateful to every person who has made a gift this month to help us hit our goal of 95,000 individual contributions going into 2024.
