Bryan Kohberger has finally offered up a vague alibi for his movements on the night that he is accused of brutally stabbing four University of Idaho students to death in their beds. The 28-year-old Ph.D. student in criminal justice asserts that he was driving alone through the night of November 12 and into the early hours of November 13. Nevertheless, he acknowledges that there are no witnesses to corroborate his account. Mr. Kohberger has a history of taking alone drives. According to a recent court document from his attorney Anne Taylor, he frequently took nighttime drives. The claims about Mr. Kohberger's unusual nighttime habits – and his whereabouts on the night of the murders – come after prosecutors demanded that his legal team reveal his alibi ahead of his October trial. From Today's Sponsored Advertiser: | | | | Rampant inflation and a hawkish Federal Reserve has really hit our economy hard. As a matter of fact, all of the major 401k plans lost money last year… But as bad as that was, here’s where it gets worse: Even if the stock market recovers, the damage of inflation could force many, many people to work an extra 5… maybe even 10 years - unless they have a way to supplement their income. And after months of intense research and development, we came up with Income For Life…… It's a brand new initiative to show Americans how to target a few hundred bucks in extra income each week. The fact is everyday Americans, young or old, are absolutely starved for income right now… | | | By clicking the link above you agree to periodic updates from DTI and its partners (privacy policy)

Results from the most recent survey conducted by CNN were described as "very worrying" for President Joe Biden's reelection campaign by a CNN polling analyst. According to the most recent CNN survey, many more Americans have confidence in House Republicans than Joe Biden when it comes to important national problems. Only 45% of people said they had more faith in Biden, compared to 54% for Republicans in Congress. In addition, 51% of respondents to the survey said they thought the economy was in a recession and was growing worse. The poll is released at a time when the Biden re-election campaign is attempting to convince American voters that "Bidenomics" has helped their economic status by highlighting recent economic statistics. Biden's general approval rating is only 40%, but when the economy is brought up, his popularity rating plummets even worse. (read more)

The United States has positioned itself to withstand shocks to the aggressive interest rate cycle by the Federal Reserve. Its economy continues to shape out as a "soft landing," or a term meaning a moderate economic slowdown following a period of growth. This is partly attributable to the Federal Reserve since when banks raise interest rates to account for inflation, they try to do so gradually. Additionally, business and household debt has a fixed rate, preventing debt payments from increasing immediately in response to increased interest rates. Unexpectedly, given the protracted era of zero interest rates that encouraged numerous enterprises to take on significant borrowing, the current debt levels are lower than historical records. This good news is ideal for stock price growth, and these three tech firms, in particular, are well-positioned to grow further to compelling entry levels once the economy levels down. (read more) |

A tragic incident at a country club in Florida was solved this week after a celebratory hole-in-one photo helped tip investigators off and led them to the killer. Robert Moore was at the Glenview Country Club having dinner when he realized another person, Dean Zook, accidentally bumped into a car in the parking lot. Moore thought the car that was bumped was his, and assumed it had damage. Moore confronted Zook and began violently punching him. But Moore realized the car that had been hit was not his, so he stopped punching Zook and just walked away. Zook was already beaten badly, and being that he was 87, he succumbed to his injuries and did not survive the attack. At the time of his death, authorities were not sure who beat Zook. But that's when a hole-in-one picture helped them tie everything together. (read more) |
